Well, another year is under way. Yes, I know the first month of it is nearly half over, but in my defence I’ve been planning my campaign for 2008 – and that involved a lot of thinking.

I guess I could be accused of being over-analytical at times – sometimes I just need to loosen up and follow my gut instincts a little more, but I’m not going to be able to change my character entirely – and I wouldn’t want to.

A full time Online income is the aim for me and I know to that end I need to accept that if I keep doing what I’ve been doing I’ll keep getting what I’ve been getting – which is not a full time income.

Anyway, the first major project of the year is under way – my own ebook. I felt like it was time to start producing my own products. I’ve sort of messed around with this for a while, but I’ve not really had the desire to really make it happen – but I’m giving it a good go now and will follow through with full promotion when the product’s ready.

List building is the other thing I really need to pay full attention to this year – something else I’ve neglected – and I, like you I’m sure – have heard ‘the money’s in the list’ so many times.

For all of you who celebrate it, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas. If you just take a holiday of any sort at this time of year, I very much hope you enjoy it with your family and friends.

I’m just dashing off this post before leaving to have Christmas lunch with my Mother, Sister and Brother in Law – so I’ll soon be too stuffed to move!

I think I might just break the habit of a lifetime this New Year and actually make a/some New Year’s Resolution(s). I think it’s about time I stopped playing at this Internet marketing thing and actually got down to seriously building a fulltime living on the Net. I know it’s what I really want to do, it’s where my passion lies and so it’s just common sense really.

Anyway, if you’re anything like me and really want to get out from under the J O B and really start taking charge of your own destiny then I suggest you do what I’m going to do and that is use a little down time between now and January 1st to think about exactly what you intend to do (i.e. come up with some concrete, practical steps you can take) to make your dreams a reality.

I know that I really need to start getting my own products together and to begin seriously list building to take my Internet ventures to the next level, so that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to do it in a series of niche markets unrelated to IM, as well as in the IM field itself – because despite it being a very competitive field, it’s where a lot of my passion lies.

Watch out for a series of free ebooks I’m putting together and intend to release early in the New Year that will focus on various aspects of Internet Marketing, and some in other niches. The IM ones will be announced on my Internet Marketing File site and to my newsletter subscribers at my The IM Secret free membership site, so I suggest you get on the mailing list there.

Anyway, I’m really excited about the future – and I suggest you find your passion and run with it too.

My first post since February! Hmm, not very good is it? I’m really going to have to put some effort into this and make sure that I update on a much more regular basis.

In the last couple of days I’ve been feeling a little under the weather – a bit fluey and my back’s been playing up again. I’ve been trying to take it as easy as possible to make sure I’m in shape for tomorrow.

And why do I need to be in shape for tomorrow? Because I’m going to Music Live at the NEC in Birmingham (that’s Birmingham in the English Midlands). I’ll be there for the guitars (and basses).

I’ve felt the need for quite some time to have a sort of central hub site that ties up all of my Online adventures and allow me a space for miscellaneous musings on various and, indeed, multifarious subjects that take my fancy from time to time.

I’ve really been searching all my life for the one thing that would really take my fancy, the one thing that I could build a career around and guess what? That thing really doesn’t exist for me. Just about anything I develop an interest in, no matter how passionate I am about it, ultimately gets boring after a time. It took me a long time, but I think I’ve just about accepted that situation now, and halfway through my fifth decade on this planet I’m learning to enjoy my many interests.

This blog is going to chronicle these interests and my Internet marketing adventures and point you in the direction of some of the new sites I set up.

It’s going to be an interesting journey for me – ‘cos I don’t entirely know what I’m going to do with this yet – hope some of you join me on the journey.
